MacLennan used sand to create an L shape that mimicked the shape of the room. On the sand was a scattering of pig parts and dead fish. Local newspapers were hung on the walls and placed on the floor, each overlain with a pig’s ear. Above the newspapers were more dead fish. A line of ticket tape topped the newsprint on the wall, continuing around the room at eye level. Balanced on a topless table frame was an object made from two walking canes – tied together symmetrically with bandages, with a carrot dangling from each ‘handle’ end. MacLennan walked the room, trailing various blocks behind him that impeded his movement.
