FELT CROSSES, FALSE TEETH

Two performances and installation at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, California.

In these performances MacLennan arranged and engaged with newspapers, felt crosses, false teeth, pigs heads, a human leg bone and a bridal gown. He drew on newspapers, some of which were cut into cross shapes and formed a grid patter around the room; others hung from the ceiling to float above the ground, along with the bridal gown and human leg bone. Pigs heads were placed in the centre of each gridded square, rotated towards the compass points. The felt crosses and false teeth punctuated the white gallery walls.

Performances ran from 9am to 9pm on the 17th and 19th of February, with the installation open from 11am to 5pm on the 18th.
